When I first met Ms. Kaumudi, I did not imagine the super mentor in her. She has that welcoming smile that makes anyone feel warm and homely and that’s how the rapport builds. Working with her has been amazing. As an employer, we found her flawless in every aspect in our 1.5 years of association with her. She has worked wonders with teachers in her training sessions. Capturing the audience’ attention, connecting to them in the language they easily comprehend and keeping them engaged throughout her workshops have all contributed to learning and wholesome development in the teachers. At the beginning of UWH’s signature program, Enhancing Learning Abilities of the Underserved Children, more than 70% of the teachers were shy to speak out in public during workshops and review meetings. With her continuous support, personal care, feedback and motivation, they now talk confidently and are also able to deliver their lecture sessions to the children in creative pedagogy. This has created a visible impact in the teachers as well as thousands of children. Her energy levels are a constant motivation to the teachers and she is regarded as a role model to many of them. Ms. Kaumudi’s commitment to the betterment of society has come as an added advantage to us; we were able to bring out success stories from the street children who are now able to read, write and think through complex problems and arrive at solutions. She has stood as a strong pillar to impart education to the street children and we would any day partner with Learning Space and Ms. Kaumudi to work on training and capacity building projects.
